Mesh type broadband FWA systems (mesh system), which construct radio mesh network composed of user stations and route stations which connect wire backboned network. enable interference reception power to be reduced by effect of using directional antenna and suppressing trausmission power in each station and user station. Therefore, frequency efficiency is expected to improve in mesh system compared with in P-MP FWA system (P-MP system) that is used in conventional FWA system. In this paper, we evaluate on channel capacity in mesh system by computer simulation. Simulation results that, when service type is best effort, C/I (Carrier Power/Interference Power) guaranteed to 95 of user station (95C/I) improve by 5dB for 4 channels and by 20dB for 9 channels in compared with P-MP system, and mesh system with only 4 channels achieve 95C/I that P-MP system needs 9 channels. Moreover, it shows that 95C/I in mesh is significant difference by duration between number of channels and blanches in topology. And it results that, when number of channels is larger than number of blanches on route station, Transmission Power Control (TPC) which is suitable for tree structure radio network improve channel capacity further in mesh system, and TPC for top link in tree structure radio network also do.
