Preparation of gadolinium gallium garnet polycrystalline material by coprecipitation method

摘要

The gadolinium gallium garnet (Gd_3Ga_5O_(12), GGG) polycrystalline powder with pure phase has been prepared by coprecipitation method. The key factors for preparation of GGG powder by liquid-phase method were discussed in the paper. Compared with solid-state synthesis, the coprecipitation method possesses the merits of lower synthesis temperature and shorter sintering time.
