A norepinephrine solution in which intact plants ofLemna paucicostatahad been immersed for 30 min or on which intactLemnaplants had been placed for 24 h had strong flower-inducing activity inL. paucicostata151, but norepinephrine added to the distilled water in whichLemnaplants had been immersed had no activity.
