Apart From A brief sojourn with Lucas Aerospace -which sponsored him at university — and an even briefer period with a photographic darkroom equipment manufacturer in Enfield, north London, Andrew Shackleton has spent 30 years working to get the best out of Ford engines. Moving from group to group, he has been involved in many aspects covering medium and large cars under development in Europe for its own markets and for North America. His responsibilities have ranged from improving air cleaners and manifolds to twin cam and turbo engineering.
