In May the German company HeinrichGeorg Maschinenfabrik delivered onschedule a levelling centre for large-sizedaluminium plates to a customer in Russiawho is primarily a supplier for the aircraftindustry. This machine has been designedfor plates of up to 3,200 millimetres inwidth and max. 12 metres in length. Theheart of the line is the Georg high-dutyplate leveller RM 120 x 3200. Supportedby precise measurement technology, thecompany achieves an ultimate flatness ofplates during the levelling process, finallydocumenting a flatness accuracy in thehundredth millimetre range.
