The requirements of conductive materialsare increasing along with the increasingperformance demands of the electricalindustry: today, the strips used in motorsand transformers, for example, must belight, robust and especially precise. Inorder to address this demand, AlcotecAluminium Coil Technology GmbH wasfounded early in 2013. The company specialisesin slit strips consisting of aluminiumand copper as well as coils consistingof anodised aluminium, and they are alsoable to produce strips greater than 0.03mm thick and 3 mm wide at their facilityin Ennepetal, Germany. To enable thinaluminium to be machinedwith such small dimensionsand at the required exactness,the company uses a high-precisionslitting machine adjustedespecially to the material fromBurghardt + Schmidt GmbH.For this purpose, these expertshave integrated multipledancer regulators to enablelow but constant belt tensionand tension-free cutting in additionto a very exact shearingmechanism.
