Bahrain production site: Outstanding investment environment in the best-developed aluminium cluster in the Gulf region

In November 2014 the Arabal Conference took place in Bahrain for the fourth time in its 29-year history, sponsored by the local smelter Aluminium Bahrain (Alba). The Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB) used the opportunity to present to a select group of technical journalists the current development of the regional economics in general and more particularly that of the aluminium cluster that has been created around Alba's smelter operation. Not only was the highly developed technical standard of the equipment emphasised, but also the options and opportunities for new investments in the processing of aluminium.
