Aluminium industry in Germany startsnew year with growth in production

Production of raw aluminium was 290,723tonnes, up 2.6% year-on-year. During this periodproduction divided into 132,670 tonnesof primary aluminium (+3,0%) and 158,053tonnes of recycled aluminium (+2,3%). Productionof aluminium semis totalled 644,704tonnes (+2.9%). The largest share of Germansemis production is attributable to the aluminiumrolling mills, which account for justunder half of the European production ofrolled products.
