UC Rusal signed an MoU with PT ArbayaEnergi (part of Satmarindo Group) to enterinto a strategic partnership in the explorationand mining of bauxite and production of aluminain West Kalimantan, Indonesia. Underthe terms of the MoU the partners will worktogether to develop the appropriate resourcesand infrastructure investment. The concreteprojects are to be identified in due course andagreed by both companies. Indonesia’s miningindustry has seen rapid growth in recent years,and the country is now the world’s third largestbauxite producer.
