摘要

The new ligand bis(2-picolinoylaninoethyl)sulphide has been synthesized. The chelating ability of this ligand with Cu(II), Ni(II), Cd(II) and Co(II) metal ions has been investigated and compared with the ligand, thiodiacetic acid bis(2-pyridylmethylomide), previously reported. The structures of the isolated compounds were proposed using n.m.r., i.r. and u.v-visible spectra.
