Prof. Alfredo Ulloa-Aguirre joined the faculty of the Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Medicas y Nu-tricion SZ (INCMNSZ) after completing the medical specialties of Internal Medicine and Reproductive Endocrinology in 1980 and earned the Doctoral degree in Medical Sciences from the UNAM, developing laboratory methods to characterize the biochemical and biological features of follicle-stimulating hormone glycoforms. From 1980-1982 and 1986-1988, he was the recipient of a Rockefeller Foundation Biotechnology Career Fellowship award to carry out postdoctoral studies at the University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia, PA.
