摘要

The method for iteratively solving the nonlinear static Poisson equation in semiconductors is based on a recent paper of Mayergoyz lsqb;J. Appl. Phys.59, 195 (1986)rsqb;. It is the most efficient in computer time. All the advantages of his method, especially low memory requirement and applicability to 1hyphen;, 2hyphen;, and 3hyphen; dimensional problems are also valid for that presented here. A decrease of computer time by more than a factor of 2 without loss of accuracy of the final result is achieved mainly by decreasing the accuracy of a single step of iteration.
