For the purpose of alleviating the current shortage of high-grade clay used for porcelains without detracting from the quality, new bodies with a high content of silica have been developed. Recent improvements in the manufacture process (quasi-isostatic pressing, etc.) have contributed to acquiring these bodies with the low-plasticity batch [1].
