nXheat now available on Ferromatik machines

Xaloy's (New Castle, PA; www.xaloy.com) nXheat induction barrel heating system is now an option on Ferromatik Milacron (Malterdingen, Germany; www.ferromatik.com/en/) injection molding machines. As previously reported (imm.plasticstoday.com/?q=articles/11764), nXheat heater bands promise to reduce energy consumption and barrel heating time, as well as provide tighter control of melt temperature for improved part quality and less scrap; and they do it with a high-frequency power supply and helical induction coils to generate heat direcdy within the barrel wall.
