Automation is more important than ever to processors' bottom lines,especially in high-wage countries.That doesn't mean development is idling.At K,Kuka (Augsburg,Germany) com pleted its line of shelf-mounted robots with the addition of the KR 16 KS-S.Dubbed Speed,the robot works with injection molding machines from 100-500 tonnes,placing it between Kuka's smaller Scara systems and larger shelf mounts for machines greater than 500 tonnes.
