If you're running long and tall tubular parts like syringe barrels, a new hot runner system engineered specifically for high-cavitation molds requiring multiple side gating into cavity walls has been introduced by Mold Hotrunner Solutions Inc. (Georgetown, ON). Its new Rheo-Pro SG Series features four-tip side gating with star-shaped tips that become embedded in the melt's insulator bubble for runnerlessly running PE, PP, and similar materials with wide dwell and residence times.
