London—Senior officials from the semiautonomous Kurdistan Regional Government have voiced their opposition to a new crude oil export pipeline planned by Iraq’s federal oil ministry to transport crude to Iran. Among them was Dilshad Shaaban, deputy chairman of the Kurdish parliament’s natural resource committee, who complained to the English daily Asharq al-Aswat that the KRG has not been informed of the agreement, which covers the disputed Kirkuk oil field.
