摘要

The electrical resistivity of submicron-diameter carbon-dilament compacts was decreased by increasing the filament diameter from 0.05 to 0.16 #mu#m, and also by graphitization of the filaments. The use of nickel-coated carbon filaments gave even lower resitivity. The compacts exhibited lower restivity than the corresponding polymer-matrix composites, such that the difference between compact and composite diminished with increasing filament volume fraction.
