This paper reports the first observation on morphology of single crystals of ladder-like polyphenylsilsesquioxane (PPSQ) by polarized optical microscopy. These crystals prepared from benzene solution are cubic or pyramidal, whose bases are parallelograms with acute angles of 70 degrees and 60 degrees, while those pyramidal shaped crystals formed from toluene solution have also parallelogram-like basal planes with small acute angles of 39 degrees and 26 degrees. Most pyramidal crystals exhibit fringes, sectors, stripes or colorful stripes. References: 8
