Noise in lubrication system of diesel engines for heavy-duty trucks

摘要

Recently, the abnormal-noise problems of diesel engines have been actualized with the engine noise reduction for meeting the vehicle noise regulation which was enforced severe. There are a lot of abnormal-noise problems related with hydrodynamics in the lubrication system of diesel engines for heavy-duty trucks. This paper outlines the abnormal-noise problems, and describes the details of the analytical results and the countermeasures as to the problem of abnormal-noise caused by the standing wave in the oil passage of the lubrication system.
