The awareness of the need to deliver energy from clean, renewable sources―evident in much of the world for decades―is now front and center in Canada. As provincial governments struggle to move traditional utility companies towards a market-based economy, as the federal government struggles to move Canada towards the Kyoto Accord, and as the consumer struggles to pay for it all, energy produced by Canada's abundant renewable energy resources is starting to be given its rightful place in the energy mix.
