Coperion Waeschle GmbH & Co. KG (mail@konsens.de), Weingarten, has developed FLUIDSPLIT~R, a new bypass conveying system for secure and economical dense phase conveying of powders. The basic principle of this innovative technology is the stabilization of the product flow by injection of secondary air with separately adjustable functions for fluidizing and plug splitting. Due to its decades-long experience with an extremely wide variety of applications, Coperion Waeschle has succeeded in combining the two functions of fluidizing and splitting in one system. Thus FLUIDSPLIT~R makes _ it possible to convey both fluidizable powders with poor air retention capacity and coarser, nonfluidizable powders reliably and economically. The bypass conveying system can be used with conveying lengths up to 400 m, conveying pipes up to DN 250 nominal diameter, and conveying rates of up to approx. 25 metric tons/h.
