Calcined gypsum products serve the dental profession more ade-quately than any other material used in dentistry. They can be used to form a cast or a die that dupli-cates the oral anatomy when poured into any impression and to take impressions of an edentate mouth [1,2]. Numerous expe-ditions have discovered extensive deposits of natural gypsum with various grades of purity in various locations in Egypt [3 - 5]. In spite of this, almost all gypsum dental products are still imported from abroad.
