AbstractThioether glycidyl resins produced by condensation of isomeric 1,4‐, 1,5‐di(mercapto)naphthalenes and of 4,4'‐di(mercapto)diphenyl with epichlorohydrin were obtained by heterophase alkaline condensation in water and isopropyl alcohol solution by sodium hydroxide solution. Their structure was determined by elemental analysis and IR and NMR spectra. The physical and chemical properties were determined. Some properties of the resins were determined during thermal and chemical curing with the curatives typical for epoxy resins.
