Mack Molding's Southern Operations (Inman,SC and Statesville,NC) is adding technology and staff to handle increasing demand for its large-part capability in the heavy truck and rec/utility vehicle markets.Company president Ray Burns says Mack positioned itself to capture more of those markets a few years ago-and the strategy is working.A critical element is giving clients a better deal on cost,which facilities manager Ken Valko attributes to processing advances Mack has made that enable an increasing number of large applications to run in smaller,less costly presses than previously.
