Combining com-puter tomography(CT) with tactile and optical sensors,the Werth Tonio-Scope coordinate measuring machine (CMM) from Werth Inc.(Old Saybrook,CT) appears to be the first to succeed in measuring the internal as well as the external geometries of parts,including heretofore inaccessible features such as hidden edges and undercuts.
