DuPont's engineering thermoplastic vulcanizates(ETPV)combine properties of crosslinked rubber with thermoplastic elastomers(TPE)to offer what the company terms a cost-efficient choice.Extending the heat and fluid resistance of TPE,ETPV resists oil,grease,and chemicals from-40 deg C to 160 deg C,and is being tested to 170 deg C.DuPont says the property profile is suitable for underhood auto applications.
