THAILAND-BASED airlines face the risk of being banned by the European Aviation Safety Agency (E AS A) from flying to the continent because of safety concerns and airline operations oversights, following an audit by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO). A possible downgrade of Thailand's safety rating from Category 1 to Category 2 by US watchdog Federal Aviation Administration could also be looming.
