BIayer MaterialScience thinks it has a product that's ripe for the digital age.Developers have succeeded in combining digital printing technology with the inmold decorating(or film insert molding,in Bayer parlance)process.The PC film(Makrofol)is first digitally printed with a photorealistic image,then a second film layer is laminated to the reverse side.After thermoforming,the decorative film is ready to be backmolded with a rigid substrate.
