If you've been designing IM parts for any length of time,you know that at least 70% of a product's cost is determined in the design stage,making it the best time to determine which designs will cost the least during production.Boothroyd Dewhurst Inc.(BDI) recently announced a new release of its DFMA software,2005 A,which includes both DFA 9.2 and DFM Concurrent Costing 2.1.Together,the upgraded versions help designers reach an initial cost estimate at any stage of design in just a few clicks.
