摘要

Birch pollen, administered 6 days before primary antigenic stimulation, was found to have a stimulating effect on the production of reaginic antibodies as well as antibodies reactive in indirect haemagglutination tests. The stimulating effect was evident on secondary but not primary antibody responses. The adjuvant effect of birch pollen was evoked on the production of antibodies to bovine serum albumin in rabbits as well as to bovine γ-globulin in mice. The relevance of the findings as to the question of allergenicity is discussed
