摘要

Attendance at a University Health Centre for examination strain over 6 years is analysed. An effective medical service reduces this to a steady 2 per cent of students during May and June. Females are twice as commonly affected as males; the Arts, Law and Economics Faculties more than Medicine, Dentistry or Education with Science and Technology intermediate.Almost half appear within a week of the onset of examinations with mild symptoms of short duration. A fifth appear much earlier with severe symptoms of longer duration. The latter do not perform well; the former do not differ from other students.Environmental factors are important and influence the prevalence within the departments.
