A spectroheliograph based on a linear CCD array

The instrument is used to form monochromatic images of the Sun in the 350- to 1200-nm spectral range. It is composed of a spectrograph, a linear CCD array with a computer, and a scanner with a step motor. A spectroheliogram is created by the computer from a series of scans with a given wavelength. An angular resolution of 1" is achieved for a pass band of 0.3 A.
