The goal of Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc (Waltham,MA) to establish a strong presence in the markets for high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) ,s getting closer with the acquisition of the SwissAnalytic Group AG (Basel Switzerland),the parent company for HPLC pump developer Flux Instruments AG and Spectronex AG,a distributor of mass spectrometry (MS),chromatography and surface science instruments in Central Europe.
