Results are presented on the development of a polarization selector, which is simple to manufacture and allows providing plasma diagnostics in the torsatrons URAGAN-2M and URAGAN-3M at different regimes of their operation. The polarization selector has low loss and high isolation between different polarizations in the operation frequency range. Similar constructions of the polarization selector adjusted to waveguides of the standard cross section (ratio of wide to narrow sides of the cross section is about 0.5) can be used as transmission of information when a wider bandwidth is necessary for either ultra-high frequency (UHF) field polarization.
