It is now possible to apply powder paint at speeds faster than any liquid coil-coating line using the MSC Powder Cloud, developed by Material Sciences Corp. and commercialized by its subsidiary MSC Pre Finish Metals Inc. In conjunction with itspartner SMS, Dusseldorf, Germany, MSC is globalizing this technology as it applies to coil coating, although the technology is effective on other substrates as well. The technology is opening new markets to coil coating by creating unique,superior-performing, and affordable products.
