The design of a detector based on a liquid-helium-cooled n-InSb crystal is described, and its performance characteristics are presented. The detector reception band is tunable between 80 and 250μm (3.75-1.2 THz). The circuit diagrams of its electronic devices (e.g., a wide-band amplifier) are presented, and their operation is described. The detection ability of the detector is 10{sup}(12) cm Hz{sup}(1/2)/W at 2 THz.
