A setup for simultaneous measurements of pressure, temperature, volume, and viscosity of liquids and gases

An experimental setup for simultaneous measurements of PVT data (by the constant-volume piezometer technique) and viscosity (by the falling load technique) at temperatures from room temperature to 680K and pressures of up to 60 MPa is described. The temperature, pressure, volume, and viscosity measurement errors are±0.014 K, 0.05%, ±0.02 cm{sup}3, and±1% (far from the critical point) and±2-3% (in the critical region), respectively. The setup was tested with pure water.
