摘要

A procedure and setup for determining the size and concentration of hydrate particles forming at the contact of bulk water-gas phases are described. The procedure is based on measuring the turbidity of the tested system for two wavelengthsλ{sub}1 =633 nm andλ{sub}2 =515 nm. The setup is intended to study the initial stages of gas-hydrate formation kinetics and allows for the detection of hydrate particles at their fractional concentration in the system as small as ~10{sup}(-6). The setup is designed to perform tests in a temperature range from -10 to 20℃ and for pressures up to 7 MPa.
