Sharyn Hall's upcoming exhibition Argentum marks twenty-five years since she graduated as a visual arts major. For the Brisbane-based artist, the milestone has sparked a creative resurgence. Focusing on surface design, Hall has explored stitching and dyeing, fabric manipulation, machine embroidery, quilting, artist books, collage, mixed media, photography and computer imaging during her career. She takes a fluid approach to media and techniques, experimenting according to her needs. This organic and somewhat playful process has become a benchmark of her artistic life.
