Two Stark components of theR(2) transition of the ngr;1band of FCN were tuned into resonance with theR(20) 9.4hyphen;mgr;m CO2laser line. From consideration of the collisionally induced doublehyphen;resonance signals observed in the microwave spectrum, it was concluded that Dgr;J=0, Dgr;M=plusmn;1 nondipolar collisional transitions occur with a frequency similar to that of the dipolehyphen;allowed Dgr;J=plusmn;1, Dgr;M=plusmn;1 collisional transitions.
