摘要

An experimental setup was developed and experimental studies performed on the effect the time profile of laser pulses has on splitting-off damage to nonmetallic materials. It was shown that, for laser pulses with a steep front and a protracted trailing edge, the splitting-off damage threshold is higher than for pulses with other temporal profiles.
