Tyrosine kinase inhibitors can be used to treat gastrointestinal stromal tumors and certain types of kidney cancer. Sunitinib causes hypothyroidism in a significant percentage of treated patients. However, hyperthyroidism has only occasionally been reported. We report a patient with sunitinib-induced hyperthyroidism.
