Asymmetric Rotor. Convergence in the Continuedhyphen;Fraction Expansion of the Reduced Energies

摘要

Computation of the energy levels of the asymmetric rotor often involves the use of successive approximations which may converge slowly to the required result. The theory of convergence in the continuedhyphen;fraction expansion of the reduced energies is here discussed and used to derive corrections which, where necessary, materially reduce the computational effort involved in obtaining solutions.
