The 26th FISITA Congress was held in Prague from June 17th to 21st this year. The theme was "Engineering Challenge - Human Friendly Vehicles". The FISITA Congress is probably the most important international technical event in the automotive technical area calendar and is held every two years. FISITA is the worldwide federation of national automotive societies totalling some 28 constituent bodies representing over 130,000 professional engineering members. For this congress papers and presentations were drawn from each of the national technical bodies and in addition 16 prominent keynote speakers were selected to give state-of-the-art reviews. There were over 230 papers and the congress was attended by 580 delegates. Cedric Ashley reports on behalf of Automotive Engineer.
