A new World Bank report endorsed by an advisory body of the Chinese government has proposed numerous trade and investment policy reforms for China to undertake to in order to achieve mutually beneficial trade relations with its global partners and avoid a significant economic slowdown. China 2030: Building a Modern, Harmonious, and Creative High-Income Society, formally released in Beijing Feb. 27, marks a joint effort between the World Bank and the Development Research Center of China's State Council. The 468-page document contains six broad economic policy recommendations, including achieving the trade-related goal of "mutually beneficial relations" with the rest of the world.
