This paper investigates the cooperative relaying where the low-altitude unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) assists communications of high-altitude unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) such as high-altitude aeronautical spacecraft platform station (HAPS), thereby extending its coverage. By theoretical analysis based on Nakaggami-Rice fading channel model, the relationship between the achievable outage probability and flight area of UAV HS elucidated, revealing the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
