Process technology segment drives growth at Spectris

In full-year calendar 2006,Spectris pic(Egham,England)missed its predictions of 6% growth,published at the beginning of 2007 in a trading update(see Instruments 24(2)12),affected by "some adverse currency effects",the company said. Sales growth for the group as a whole was up only 4% from the prior year,at pound684.5 million(1342.2 million at pound0.51=1).
