Google apologises to Chinese authors over book scanning

In its letter, Google said that it will 'respect the wishes of any Chinese author who hasn't authorised their books to be scanned'.Chinese writers accused Google of copyright infringement in October 2009 when the search engine used sections of their work online, and without their permission.
