U.S. Trade Representative Michael Froman is scheduled to meet with European Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmstrom on Friday (Dec. 11) in Brussels, continuing the two trade officials' practice of taking stock between negotiating rounds for the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP). The meeting, which was notified on Malmstrom's official agenda, comes after Froman in London on Wednesday stressed the need for the TTIP talks to make progress. Froman began his Europe trip in London on Dec. 8 and will wrap up in Brussels, ahead of the World Trade Organization ministerial meeting in Nairobi.
